Tips for  Environment-friendly Cleaning

Oven cleaning-
spritz cool oven with water and sprinkle with baking soda.

 Allow to dry and repeat, then wipe clean.

 

Toilet bowl cleaner-  
pour ½ cup baking  soda and ½ cup vinegar in toilet bowl.

After fizzing subsides- clean as usual with non-disposable toilet brush!

 

Kitchen counter stains-
use “straight” lemon juice concentrate or

 fresh lemon slices to bleach out stains.

 

Mold and mildew remover

1 cup distilled water

1 oz grapefruit seed extract

1 tsp tea tree essential oil

Mix well and place in spray bottle. Spritz area and allow to sit on surface

 for 5-10 minutes before cleaning. Rinse and dry area.

 

 

For “bleaching” fabrics and avoiding chlorine bleach-

use hydrogen peroxide or lemon juice, undiluted on the stain and allow to soak in

well before laundering (with a no-phosphate detergent , of course!).
